Festival of Feminist Ideas and Activism

A reminder that our own Victoria Bazin and Mel Waters will be discussing their research on Wednesday March 16th with Penny Remfry, Anne Torode and Rosie Lewis, on the topic of feminist magazines and print culture as part of the Festival of Feminist Ideas and Actions.

Penny and Anne were founders of feminist magazine Scarlet Woman – a national magazine produced in South Shields in the 70s and 80s.

Rosie is from the Angelou Centre, a centre that supports and celebrates the heritage of BAME women in the North East.

Please come along if you can to the city library – places are free but you need to book and can do so by clicking on the link below.  There will be tea and cake too from 6pm!

You can book a free ticket for this event here.
